Wildwood Wrap-Up

Tomorrow morning I head out of town, my car packed high and the moving van packed higher. I have spent six full months on the shore of South Jersey. I didn't expect to stay that long, but it seems I needed it.

Restful and restorative, and with some great gems tucked in surprising places, it has been a good winter. I painted lots, walked the beach lots, and made some special friends in the area. But the winds have shifted and I am off to my next step in the journey...

Colorado now calls me! I will be living in Ft Collins, which is north along the front range, almost to Wyoming. Years ago I lived in Boulder, and my brother has lived there for 25 years, so it is familiar territory. It is a welcome familiarity after spending these past 18 months here on the east coast where I feel so out of sorts.

So the next few weeks I will be in transition, driving 1700 miles in anticipation of seeing those mountains in the distance, ticking off the mile markers along the way.

Did you know that east of Ohio there are markers every tenth of a mile, while west of Ohio there are only markers on the mile. Think about that!
