Sand Paintings

This week's sand formations have been pretty spectacular. And yesterday it was warm enough to walk for several hours! I could imagine springtime bringing some life back into the land.

Lucky me to be here in a record cold winter. Here is the bay side of the cape with chunks of ice on the beach:

Full moon this week brought extreme high and low tides, and with it a new sight on the beach- alive things! There were hundreds of whelk on the beach today at low tide, all patiently waiting for the tide to come back. Perhaps I could learn something from their example?
